Ethereals 

 Ethereals are ancient Magical beings who have always been a part of the world. They reside on a plane parallel and adjacent to ours. Using waterways as mirrors into our world. Natural disasters such as tornadoes, tsunamis, and earthquakes, and the like would be their doorway. The energies surrounding these disasters could create portals that acted as Doorways for the Ethereals to come and go. 

 

 Ethereals like any other race can be good or bad. Beings of Light or Beings of darkness. It was this rift between them that would lend aid to the banishing they were to face from our plane for quite some time. In the Earth year 1835, a Dark Ethereal by the name of Kaliope started using her magics to feast on the souls and magic of witches. The Supreme of that time Alysane, with help from her coven ( Freya Gerard, Marie Leveau, David O'Connell, and Christopher Castel. ) Came together and Banished the Ethereals to their home plane. Most of the Dark Ethereals were pushed back home along with Kaliope, and even the Beings of Light chose to go back for the betterment of the world. 

 

For Centuries they were thought to be all but extinct in this plane. The very few that managed to hide out from the banishment spread out all over the world. Few and Far between they were. Thought to be all but myth.  

 

 After a massive Hurricane sometime in the early 50s, a portal was created. Allowing Kaliope and some of her kin both beings of light and darkness to creep over, allowing for once again the Ethereals to have a foothold in our world. 

 

Ethereals feed on energies. A Being of Light will feed only when they need to and on that of animals or criminals vowing not to harm an innocent. A Dark Being will feed on anything they find attractive to them. Once they have chosen a target they will need to touch their temples and drain the energy of their chosen prey. Leaving their prey often sluggish or out of it for a time. Perhaps even a bit loopy and disoriented.

 Appearance: Ethereals in their truest forms, are said to be tall and lean.. They have a variety of different types of wings. Some resemble that of an Angel. Others look like butterfly wings while others have gargoyelsque-like wings. Possibly even demonic. They have either extremely light-colored eyes or very dark. There is no middle ground. Their ears are pointed and fingernails are often on the longer side... However when they are trying to blend in... They look human, often having longer hair to cover their pointed ears. Their wings are hidden by the will of their own. 

 

**** Ethereals Can shapeshift into many things. However it is a limited two-hour max and it will fade back to either their mortal form or their truest forms.. in their mortal or truest forms there are no time limits!****

 

 Strengths: 

 *Illusion Casting: Ethereals both Dark and Light can cast strong illusions. They are not permanent but often used to cause confusion or tricks. 

* Glamoring. The Ability to appear human. 

* Telepathy

* Longevity, they have been known to live for centuries with agelessness.

* Nimble, They are almost Elven in their movements, graceful, quick, and lithe. 

* They can change their form to that of animals. The Beings of Light are single-handedly responsible for the mythical beasts of our fantasy books. Unicorns, dragons, and griffins were all ethereals shape-shifting. Now they would take the form of an animal. Albeit for a short time. ( Limited for two hours max ). Typically they do this to trick and play games with mortals. 

* Ability to speak and mind control the beasts of the world... Animals. 

*Flight, they have wings they can fly. 

 

 Weaknesses: 

 *Oaths. Their word is their bond. They are incapable of going back on their word no matter what they try or do. If you get an Ethereal to make a deal it's Binding!

* Iron, It burns, its hurts. It kills. 

* Fragility. They are fragile, their wings can tear. The bones can break. Their skin is not tough. For this reason, they are easily mortally wounded. 

* Enticing Scent: In a word Ethereals are magic incarnate. Their blood to strigoi is enticing, and therefore bleeding around a strigoi is deadly. Even a Young Garou might try to take a bite of an Ethereal.
