  Witches

Witches
  They are the governing force of Lafayette, despite the side of town you reside in. They are intelligent and able to harness multiple powers as well as the elements.  They can cast multiple spells in both offensive and defensive magic. Every witch is born with the ability to control one element. Only the Supreme leaders of the Covens can control all 5! All witches that join sim may have up to three powers, but only one from each of the three categories. Defensive, Offensive, and Divination. Witches are born into their elements as well as with their three Gifts. However Not all three gifts show up at once. Usually, it takes a trigger of some sort for them to show up and only after one if mastered. For instance, a witch's power is granted when they are born but access to that ability comes later and after mastering the first or prior ability.  A witch could be in her mid 20s before all three gifts will be active for her to wield. 

  All Witches can cast spells, create curses and perform rituals. Some spells and Rituals will take an exceeding amount of power and won't be able to be done alone. Other spells are simple and take very little energy. Using one's innate born powers is called Cantrips. 
 
  Magic is draining. Use too much of it at one time and your body will wear out. Visible signs may be a bloody nose, bleeding ears, exhaustion, or passing out. Younger witches wear out far faster than more experienced witches. It is rumored that the Founding Family bloodline witches are stronger than others. 

  All witches are born, not created or self-taught.  It is a race, not a religion. However, a born witch who was not raised by other witches or her family may not know how to use her gift and in some rare cases may be unaware she is a witch and will need to find a mentor to learn how to hone and harness her magic.  Witches have no distinguishing physical characteristics. They look human. They are mortals who harness magic. Magic runs through them as a living force within them. Some witches are better at their craft than others. 


Strengths: 
*Ability to control their element, and make it manifest ( Manifesting their element is extremely draining. After 3 or 4 posts of manifesting their element they will pass out from exhaustion without something or someone to channel. ) 
* Ability to cast spells of any kind, However, they must have an ic reason for knowing such spells. Please make sure to add this knowledge to the backstory or through RP. 
* Ability to create curses and magical items

Weaknesses:  
*Exhaustion, Magic is a form of energy that lives within a witch. Therefore using magic even cantrips will take a certain amount of energy from a witch. Younger inexperienced witches burn out faster. Signs of exhaustion are Bleeding from the nose or ears. Labored breathing. Tremors.
*Witches are Mortal. So anything that can kill a human can kill a witch. Bullet wounds, stab wounds, Old age, Severe exhaustion to name a few.
